  10.              Okay, this version is meant for the PUBLIC DOMAIN  
  11.         SHAREWARE people. Possibly, YOU at the moment.

  15.         On PIRATE boards they have something called 'New User 
  16.         Voting' or 'NUP' for short. This system is where you 
  17.         fill out an application, stating your name. And what 
  18.         boards your on. And certain things you might not know.
  19.         The aim of this is to teach you...

  23.                  GETTING YOURSELF ON A PIRATE BOARD

  27.         A)  This may not seem like a good idea, but ALWAYS, 
  28.         without excption, give YOU REAL DETAILS! This is 
  29.         ABSOLUTELY important. Because all boards will have you 
  30.         voice verified! You may pass through all the other 
  31.         tests, but this is point is crucial. 
  32.         And also, THERE IS NO RISK! The sysops destroy the info
  33.         after you have been verified. So go ahead, put in your
  34.         real shit.     
  35.             Also don't be afraid to put in your real age. If you
  36.         really are 14, say 14! There isn't any age restrictions, coz
  37.         there aren't any gifs! And who ever heard of a 14 year 
  38.         old Cop?
  39.  
  40.         B)  If you think something is cool. Don't say 'cool' 
  41.         instead say 'Kewl Mon!' or 'That's Ace!'
  42.          
  43.         C)  Make your smiley face more elaborate and silly.
  44.         *=|8 - )      or    @%%| B + {    remeber to make them
  45.         long and kewl. Put in spaces, the better it looks the
  46.         more like a pirate, you seem. And once you have a good 
  47.         one, use it over and over again. As so to personalise 
  48.         it.

  50.         D)  ALWAYS ACT TUFF! That's the key! Act like you are 
  51.         very kewl. GIVE SHIT TO EVERYONE!!! In messages, say 
  52.         things like:
  53.         'You are all a bunch of LAMER IDIOTS if I don't get 
  54.         voted in!'  
  55.            Another thing is to give shit to the sysop
  56.         call him a 'Faggot without a Life'; this will really 
  57.         impress him. Because it'll convince him that your
  58.         kewl enough to be in the Pirate scene. And also will
  59.         convince him you aren't a fed (cops/police). Because
  60.         the feds usually suckup real bad, to the point to where 
  61.         it's VERY suspicious. 
  62.  
  63.         E)  And threaten them. This scares the shit outta 
  64.         everyone. Say that if you aren't let on, you'll call the
  65.         cops! This works 9/10 times. And, when you do eventually get 
  66.         on the board, everyone will be scared of you. Take 
  67.         advantage of this initial awe, and give them all lots 
  68.         of shit, thru messages. But NEVER act out on it.

  70.         F)  TrY tO aLwAYs tO WrITE lIkE tHiS! It'S rEaLLY tHE
  71.         UlTiMAtE iN KeWLNeSS! ThE OnLy rEASoN I'M nOt dOiNG iT

  75.         G)  2400 ppl aren't welcome. 9600 is still not good 
  76.         enough but some boards will accept it. 14400 is the key
  77.         so if you don't have one, go and steal it.

  79.         H)  Never ever chat (i mean through the modem) to the sysop.
  80.         But if you have to; type slowly, and call him a wanker. 
  81.         Then hang up just as his in the middle of a sentence. 
  82.  
  83.         I)  If you don't know how to do something, like get the
  84.         file descriptions up. DON'T HESITATE to leave a message!
  85.         
  86.         J)  For references, put in, the boards your on. And for 
  87.         people say you know: CYBERNAZI, VIDIOT, ANSIMAN, 
  88.         GIRLYBOY. These are very influential people in the local
  89.         pirate scene.  
  90.                 
  91.         K)  And last, but still Extremely important. Your alias
  92.         either continue using your Shareware boards one, or make
  93.         another one up. But a long alias is cool. Make it like
  94.         
  95.         The Dutch Flyer  or  Super Ansi Ace
  96.                       
  97.         Two to three words should be enough.
